Password protected directory

Hi.
I have a Windows account. I need to password protect a directory, but don't want to share to the end user my login credenctials.
How should I set a new user name and password for that directory different from the one I use to get into my account?:confused:

You only can have one login to your hosting account. you can create alternative user login account.

However you can create extra FTP logging account, and set different user name and password and root folder, does it allow this user to access their particular folder only. They can upload files to their own folder.

They can access your Web folder if you grant them access to root folder
