Hello,

I am using vbulletin forum in my ixwebhosting account. I need to know if this forum is hosted on ixwebhosting's shared hosting. If that is so, can you please tell me what configurations is needed to send a mail from the mail server through vbulletin. I am sure you know the Mass Mail to Users Option built in Vbulletin.

I need to know whether you use SMTP or PHPMAIL() within the ixwebhosting account. If so, what are the configurations for it.

In Email Options at VBulletin AdminCP:
Enable Email Features: Yes
Allow Users to Email Other Members: No
Use Secure Email Sending: Yes
Email Flood Check: 60
Use Mailqueue System: Yes
Number of Emails to Send Per Batch: 10
Bounce Email Address:
Enable '-f' Parameter: Yes
SMTP Email: No
SMTP Host:
SMTP Port: 25
SMTP Username:
SMTP Password: xxxx
SMTP Secure Connection: No

Now those are the settings in my admin panel for vbulletin. What is this site's? I cannot send any mass emails through my email accounts. I can only send it through the built in horde email system.

Should I use SMTP? If so, what should be its settings? I tried Ixwebhosting tickets and everything in live chat support, they cannot explain me their server settings. Please tell me how to get it running. I joined this forum and I saw that I can get the welcome email and also password verification email, but I cannot do so with my hosting account. I use the Unlimited Pro Package on Linux Servers.

Help me out please.

Regards,
Meer Tauhid Husain

this vbulletin forum is running from ixwebhosting shared hosting plan... email alert can be send out and receive without problem. by using default setting.

you should do some debugging and capture any error code. and identify the problem from there.
