wordpress 2.7 introduce more new features, and in future we will see wordpress evolve into more complex and become the best blog script over and over again.

I'm having trouble getting permalinks working in my IX Hosting account for Wordpress 2.7. I have a windows hosting account.
Wordpress is installed in the domain root youdidwhatwithtsql [dot] com
The following is in my .htaccess file
# BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule>
# END WordPress
But I just get 404's after changing permalinks form the default.
Does anyone have any tips for this?

Yeah but only version 2.2, so I went with 2.7 on my own. A few extra steps but not too bad.
