I have 2 accounts with IXWebhosting with 30+ domains between the accounts. I had my own servers in the past but closed my ISP business recently to go back to school and finish my education and moved all my sites and email to IX. I used Postini (http://www.postini.com) on my own servers for spam filtering which was awesome and remove 98% of all spam and 100% of virus. Not that I have scaled back I have found a different company that I can afford but offer the same features as Postini but like Postini requires MX records changes. Adding MX records to DNS has never been an issue but my problem with IX is that there is a builtin MX record that needs to be removed from DNS for the spam filter to be 100% effective. I have opened a ticket but support says the oly way to remove that builtin MX is turn off the mail service which really defeats the purpose. I have been looking at other hosts and contacted their support (godaddy, netsol and several others) and all allow you to edirt advanced DNS settings. The HSPHERE product that IX uses also allows this but is not being used at this time. In order to offer my customers the best email service I can offer I need my to also do the same. Is anyone here aware of this ability and if so who do I contact to get it accomplished. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
